Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Future Foundation launched the Dubai Future Week initiative executed by Mosaic Live one of the leading event management companies in Dubai. It comprised of week-long activations, through the installation of platforms for knowledge and interactive sessions held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Boulevard. A first of its kind in the UAE, the initiative allowed participants to learn about the tools of future design through a ‘Future Exhibition’ of images, shopping and the future of food, as well as through holding ‘Future Dialogues’ presented by futurists in various sectors such as education, workforce, economics, and transport.
Mosaic Live designed an immersive experience for guests from the moment they entered, taking them through a journey of the Future of Food, Music, Gaming, Fitness, Entertainment, Robotics, Art, Photography, Automobiles, and Drone technologies to name a few. The event was aimed at inspiring young people, engaging the community in innovation and supporting local creative talent.
The activations were customized to suit the three main themes – Imagining, Designing and Executing the Future. Guests enjoyed custom 3D printed candy, having their selfie printed on their coffee, engaged with a laser harp to create music and used the power of their brain to fly a drone. They also experienced the future of fitness through VR biking, attended public talks and workshops or simply explored the rich local talent at the live Open Mic.
An outdoor cinema screened international movies that envisioned the future during the event, as well as Human Experience 2.0, a game to introduce futuristic technologies to the public such as robotics and drones among others. A F&B zone hosting food trucks added to the event offering.

Additionally, an Emirati artist showcased his vision of the future of the nation through his animated art, as well as a VR artist who performed on the main stage, creating digital art depicting her vision of the future of the UAE for the audience to see.
During the launch of Future Week, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said that Dubai has become a global futuristic experience that offers talents and brightest minds from all over the world an opportunity to learn about future technology and how it can change their lives; as well as support the adoption of new and innovative notions in every sphere of life. Mosaic Live’s objective was to design and execute an experience that provided Dubai’s audiences a peek into the future, on an inspiring platform such as The Future Week.
